About the retreat Retreat is a special time to leave our ordinary activities behind, relax, unwind and focus on meditation. With its spacious lawns, woodland walks and World Peace Café, Tara Centre is the perfect place for an enjoyable and meaningful weekend. About the Centre Tara Centre is an internationally renowned Kadampa Buddhist college for study, meditation and retreat, established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in 1983. Located at Ashe Hall in the Derbyshire countryside close to the village of Etwall, and set within 38 acres of woodlands and fields, the main purpose of the Centre is to practise, demonstrate and explain the Buddhist way of life in a manner appropriate for people in the 21st century. |
